Dr. Korkis
Dr. Joseph Korkis graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and then went into a rigorous eight year surgical training initially, in General Surgery and then in Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology in both Ireland and Canada respectively.
Dr. Joseph Korkis is a member of the Canadian Academy of facial plastic and reconstructive Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Joseph Korkis is certified by three Royal Colleges in three countries:
- The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
- The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
- The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, United
Kingdom
Dr. Korkis is also a member of other professional organizations:
- Canadian Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery

- General Medical Council, United Kingdom
During his residency training program at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Korkis
received training in RHINOPLASTY (nose-reshaping) for both cosmetic and
reconstructive purposes that he developed a special interest in, which has
become his exclusive area of expertise. Facial Plastic Surgery is a subspecialty
of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and concentrates completely on
cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck.
Dr.Korkis regularly attends national , international conferences and workshops
that constantly upgrade his knowledge and skills in the field of Nasal and Facial
Plastic Surgery. He has lectured internationally, published articles and has been
in practice in Burlington since 1987. His commitment to his patients is
outstanding.
Dr.Korkis is a clinical assistant professor and a teacher at McMaster University.
He had served for several years as chief of the section of Otolaryngology,
Department of Surgery at the Joseph Brant memorial Hospital in Burlington and
